"I'll keep an eye out for the enemy, you focus on your task," Bramen nodded towards Dorian as the man caught up to him, walking with a graceful and easy stride now. He knew it was best to keep alert and not get too cocky about things - but it was sometimes hard not to when the adrenalin was pumping through him like this.
"The Cryptarchs trust you with a lot of things, don't they?" he asked, though he knew the answer simply enough. "It's a high honour to have, a rather prestigious role... Was your father a Cryptarch?"
