Awoken were more affectionate than Dorian might have realised. Amongst themselves, they had little ways of showing it, things that would go pat the average human's eye, little gestures and glances that meant something very different among their people. Interacting with humans, they had to be more overt if they wanted to show their feelings - be it friendship or otherwise. What Bramen felt for Dorian was nothing short of adoration. What that meant, the Awoken couldn't truly be certain - but he wanted to be near Dorian. He wanted to be close to the man, just as he wanted to be close to his Awoken brethren. There was a connection there, a sense of appreciation. He felt good when he was with the man.
Even if they were teasing one and other, betting over who could kill more Fallen.
"Hunter Grenades are better used at a distance and our knives are good for one or two strikes but we don't quite have the same talent with dark matter you Warlocks do," he laughed, half scoffing as he leaned back again, getting comfortable. "Though it does sound like a pretty useful thing to have on your side. Almost a shame I'm mostly versed in my knife."
Though Bramen was certainly a formidable force with that blade. A Bladedancer was never to be underestimated.
