There was that momentary clench of his heart at the words because they still scared him. Then he smiled and leaned in to kiss Bramen gently.

"If you go, I will follow," he said softly, his lips brushing against Bramen's with each word. "My heart is yours, always."

He hesitated before the next part. Shifting away from his lover, he sat up enough to pull off one of his rings. He picked up Bramen's hand and slid it on to his finger. "In Tevinter we exchange iron rings as a sign of devotion to someone. I may not always be able to say the words but you will have this."
